The event aimed to strengthen global aviation systems in line with ICAO\u2019s strategic plan for 2050, which is anchored in the \u201cNo Country Left Behind\u201d initiative and envisions air transport for all, with zero fatalities and net-zero carbon emissions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"888\">Over the course of three days, the Symposium delivered a range of commitments, partnerships, and implementation initiatives focused on enhancing aviation safety, security, sustainability, and connectivity worldwide. Particular emphasis was placed on supporting all States in effectively implementing ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"890\" data-end=\"1349\">During the event, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Dr. Iatrou<\/span><\/span>, Director General of <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Hermes<\/span><\/span>, met with <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Toshiyuki Onuma<\/span><\/span>, President of the ICAO Council. Their constructive discussion focused on the future of global aviation, with special emphasis on education and capacity building\u2014key pillars of the 2026 Hermes Recommendations.
